I was an assistant editor on feature films in the UK, Ireland and Australia for 4 years working with inspiring and talented editors such as Martin Hunter (who had previously edited 'Full Metal Jacket') and Martin Smith (editor of 'Star Wars The Phantom Menace').  My final job as an assistant was as first assistant editor on Jane Campion's 'Holy Smoke'.

 

I have worked as an editor for the last 20 years on feature films, short films and documentary including the feature film 'Maya' (India and France). I worked at SBS Australia at their Arts Channel for 3 years and have, since moving to New Zealand 6 years ago worked with Gibson Group on 4x TV series . I have edited  Behind the Scenes for 'Krampus', 'Ghost in the Shell' and 'Bladerunner 2049' at Weta Workshop and 'Mortal Engines' for Sunny Boy Entertainment.

In 2013 myself and my husband Jeff collaborated on a feature documentary 'The Inheritance' which premiered at the New Zealand Film Festival in 2014. Another Jeff Mcdonald documentary 'A Sculptor's Journey' premiered  at the 2018 New Zealand Film Festival.

I am fascinated by dramatic structure and have a passion for story. I have a BA in English Literature and Theatre & Film from Victoria University of Wellington.
